As we grow to be more like Christ, we serve others as He did. Our church is serving the community in various ways, and we encourage our members to be involved. We also realize that the "community" extends beyond the limits of our city and out into the entire world.
These are some of the ways we are currently serving:
We make blankets and school backpacks for distribution overseas;
Our Little Pantry allows people to pick up food, toiletries, and/or cleaning supplies, anonymously;
We give financial assistance to a local crisis pregnancy center;
On the second Tuesday of the month, we build Braille books in Fort Worth;
On the first Friday of the month, we help with food distribution at a local food pantry;
Once every three months, we serve a meal at Ronald McDonald House in Fort Worth;
Four times a year, we hold a blood drive at the church.
We are always looking for new ways to serve, so check back here often.
A new way (for us) in which we are planning to serve the community in 2018 is through Embrace Grace. This is a program where we reach out to support and encourage young ladies who are going through an unplanned pregnancy and who need to feel God's love. We get to be the hands and feet and heart of Jesus! How exciting is that!
